Overview
A smart bottle built around how people actually hydrate.
MORVA is a modular smart bottle that adapts to your lifestyle. It expands from 700ml to 1.5L, cleans itself with a UV-C lid, and reminds you to hydrate through a subtle glowing ring. The system also includes a companion app to track hydration, customize reminders, and simplify daily routines.
Problem
MORVA started with a simple observation: most water bottles are built around manufacturing constraints, not user behavior. One size doesn't fit all, hydration is easily forgotten, and bottles are hard to keep clean, three gaps that most products on the market never actually solve together.
Solution
A modular system that expands from 700ml to 1.5L, paired with a subtle LED hydration reminder, a UV-C self-cleaning cap, and a silicone loop for grip and portability. Each feature was designed to solve one specific gap from the research, rather than adding complexity for its own sake.
Flow
From Concept to Product
Before jumping into 3D, the direction was explored through sketches, how a smart bottle might look, feel, and work in real life, staying simple and intuitive without relying on screens or overcomplicated features. Once the direction was set, the product was built in Blender, keeping the form clean, modular, and manufacturable. Details like the LED ring, UV-C cap, and threaded expansion zone were modeled with care to balance aesthetics with function. After finalizing the physical product, a companion app was designed to match MORVA's premium feel, dark, cinematic theme, signature blue accents, and clean typography with clear hierarchy. A subtle AI feature offers daily personalized hydration advice based on user patterns, expressed across Home, Insights, LED Studio, and Settings screens.

Experience
Design Concepts
Research centered on users aged 18-30, spanning students, creative professionals, and tech roles. The strongest barriers were safety and trust concerns, fear of judgment, and social anxiety, while the clearest motivations were making new friends, discovering local activities, and reducing loneliness.
User Interface
The companion app balances functionality and emotion, encouraging hydration through subtle animations, glowing accents, and clear feedback. Home surfaces today's intake and quick actions, Insights visualizes hydration trends against weather impact, LED Studio lets users personalize their bottle's light and mood, and Settings handles account, notifications, and preferences.
Outcome
Where Function Meets Form
MORVA explores how a smart product can stay simple and intuitive without leaning on screens or overcomplicated features, modular, easy to hold, and able to interact with the user in a subtle, visual way. The screens are currently static high-fidelity visuals, and the next step is making them interactive for better testing and refinement, but even at this stage, the direction demonstrates how physical product and companion app can share one cohesive design language.
