Overview
Removing the friction from clinic visits, one screen at a time.
Mediq is a patient-first healthcare app designed to simplify the clinic experience from start to finish. It helps patients find the right doctor, book appointments, track their queue position in real time, and manage their health records, all from one place, removing the usual friction of hospital visits and making accessing care feel effortless and human.
Problem
Booking a hospital appointment still feels unnecessarily complex. Patients juggle phone calls, front desks, and paper forms just to see a doctor. Queue times are unpredictable, health records are scattered, and there's no single place to manage it all, leaving the experience feeling outdated and stressful before the visit even begins.
Solution
Mediq brings the entire patient journey into one focused experience. It organizes care around the patient, not the hospital. Smart appointment booking, live queue tracking, and a personal health hub work together to make every clinic visit feel planned, calm, and in control.
Flow
The Mediq Flow
A patient opens Mediq and moves through booking in three phases. Phase 1, Book, takes them from Home through Speciality and Doctor & Time, ending in a Review step. Phase 2, Confirm, locks in the appointment and sets a reminder. Phase 3, Visit, shifts the experience from planning to presence, patients can check their live Queue position and see an estimated Wait Time the moment they arrive. Beyond booking, the Home Screen surfaces the most relevant information first, an upcoming appointment card, quick access to Health Summary (lab results, prescriptions, medical history), and a list of Your Doctors, all before the patient has to tap anything. An AI chat bar offers a conversational alternative for anyone who'd rather type or speak their request than tap through menus.

Experience
Booking
Booking happens in three clean steps, choosing a speciality, picking a slot from real-time doctor availability, and reviewing before confirming, with reminders defaulting to on since forgetting an appointment costs more than one extra notification.
Beyond the Booking
Once booked, Queue Status replaces a fixed time slot with a live position and estimated wait, removing the guesswork of arriving too early or too late. Notifications keep patients informed at every stage, appointment reminders, queue updates, and confirmations, without needing to call the front desk.
Persona
Elliot Harper, 40, a startup founder, captures the core pain point: he prefers WhatsApp over calls, forgets appointments without reminders, and has no visibility into wait times once he reaches the clinic. His goals were simple, hassle-free booking, automatic reminders, and knowing how long he'd wait before leaving home.
Outcome
Every Decision Has a Reason
Reminders default to on because the cost of forgetting outweighs the cost of an unwanted notification. Booking is three steps, each with one job, no forms, no account creation, no overwhelming choices at once. Live queue tracking replaces static time slots, since a fixed slot doesn't help when the doctor is running late. And the appointment card sits on the home screen because the most relevant information should surface before the patient even taps anything, turning a historically stressful process into one that feels considered at every step.
